Meet Kaitlin

Kaitlin Murphy - Burger, BSN, IBCLC

Kaitlin works at a local hospital as a lactation consultant and owns her own Lactation practice, Babykind. Her goals in private practice are to facilitate the natural processes of breastfeeding. A delicate balance of understanding the newborn's nutritional needs & unique abilities, while supporting the mother learn her baby & body in a new & unfamiliar way. All the while supporting the connection and bonding between mother & baby at the breast 

Kaitlin’s work starts in pregnancy with prenatal education and continues throughout the postpartum period. She assists families in the hospital, at Golden Oak Midwifery, and through home & virtual visits.

Kaitlin has nearly 20 years experience as a registered nurse (RN). Her career started in labor and delivery, then transitioned to maternity and lactation, earning her IBCLC in 2008. 

Kaitlin is passionate about working with the community to build “The Village”. Kaitlin has offered lactation support & beyond for many families over the years. She also leads the postpartum support groups. In collaboration with like-minded professionals, breastfeeding outcomes for moms and babies can significantly improve! ~ together striving to cultivate community and promote wellness.
