What People Are Saying

“I have Kaitlin to thank for my baby being able to breastfeed.  We had an incredibly difficult time and her knowledge, optimism, and gentle touch with my son made all the difference.  Throughout this challenging journey she was our coach and cheerleader and finally got my son breastfeed at 7 weeks when everyone else said it wasn't possible!  I highly recommend Kaitlin to anyone!”

“I never expected breastfeeding to be so hard.  It's one of those aspects of new motherhood that is rarely talked about.  When my baby was born we had every breastfeeding problem under the sun.  We needed a miracle.  In walked Kaitlin, who with her kind and understanding demeanor, was able to slowly turn our breastfeeding relationship from on of pain and frustration into one of joy.  I wouldn’t be breastfeeding today if it weren't for Kaitlin, and it is one of the most special ways in which I connect with my son.”

“Kaitlin is a calming, nurturing voice in a whirlwind of new baby life. She provides knowledgeable council on lactation concerns, and also draws upon and shares her personal experience caring for many babies. But, her ability to relate and connect to the new mom and family may the most valuable part of working with Kaitlin. A voice of understanding and support during a time of change.”

“After my baby was in the NICU and formula fed for his first 4 days of life, my dreams of exclusively breastfeeding started to feel further and further away from being a reality. Luckily, I had an appointment with Kaitlin on the books because my 7-day old was having a hard time latching. After 15 minutes, she had him latched like a pro on BOTH sides whereas previously, he'd latch for 30-60 seconds at a time and only on the right side. She helped my little one and I try different nursing positions to get him comfortable on both sides and taught me the "flipple" technique which made all the difference. Even with us being seen by other LC's while we were in the hospital, after one appointment with Kaitlin I felt like I finally got it. She's a great listener and helped me feel like I wasn't alone in my struggles - both physically and mentally. Her approach was gentle and she was so quick to point out the ways I could optimize my little one's position and latch with so much empathy for me as a first time mom. I left the appointment wondering if Kaitlin's good luck charm would wear off but as soon as it was time for the next feed at home, my little one latched like a champ and I've been exclusively breastfeeding ever since! I've continued to reach out to Kaitlin for support and she's been a huge part of my successful breastfeeding journey thus far.”

“There aren’t words to accurately describe the extent to which Kaitlin helped me and countless other new moms. Kaitlin approaches lactation support with the knowledge of a brilliant nurse and lactation consultant, and the heart of a mom. Having kids of her own helps Kaitlin to truly empathize with the difficulty of motherhood, and allows her to understand the ways in which motherhood and breastfeeding can vary from person to person, and from pregnancy to pregnancy. She is compassionate, caring, thorough, well-researched, and is interested in knowing you, your baby, and your story. She never pushes any agenda onto your experience, but instead treats you as an equal, and develops a treatment plan as a team based on your values and your goals for your motherhood journey. Kaitlin helped me to feel confident in my ability to feed my baby and helped me feel true ownership and competency in my parenting. She is one of the most patient people I’ve ever met, and she made me know I was truly cared for. I am grateful every day for Kaitlin.  If you are a mother in any stage of motherhood, you will truly benefit from knowing Kaitlin.”

“Kaitlin helped teach me, a first generation breastfeeder, and mother of an amazing micro-preemie on a feeding tube, how to keep up my milk supply, transition baby from tube to breast, and get some much-needed sleep. She is nurturing, thoughtful, prompt, and an expert on helping mommas feed their babies. My daughter was born 2 months early, and has a dairy protein intolerance, which is in most formulas. But working with Kaitlin helped me actualize my desire to breastfeed and give my daughter the most complete nutrition possible. She met with me, and saw me through all the phases of getting a baby to latch, suck/swallow, and eat well! My daughter has grown and is hitting all of her milestones. We have a special bond through breastfeeding and I owe that to Kaitlin. She taught and challenged me, and was with me each and every step of the way. She was an advocate and respected all of my choices. I recommend Kaitlin whole heartedly and consider myself incredibly lucky to have her as my lactation consultant!”

“Kaitlin is terrific!  As a new mom, I didn't know the first thing about breast-feeding, so I called Kaitlin for help.  She patiently walked me through the process and provided detailed answers to my many questions.  It was very helpful to have her as a guide.  Kaitlin is knowledgeable, sensitive, and extremely professional.  Now that my son is almost 10 months old, I've reached out to her again for help with weaning.  She very kindly offered to assist for no charge!  My husband and I feel very lucky to have met Kaitlin, and we highly recommend her services!”
